[LinkedIn post] Simulating wavepacket dynamics in a quantum box
I’d like to share the results of my latest quantum simulation, where I explore the behavior of a wavepacket within a quantum box, including phenomena like quantum tunneling and wavepacket reflections.
In this simulation, I visualize the probability density, wavefunction, and phase of a wavepacket as it interacts with a central barrier. The results illustrate key quantum concepts such as tunneling, where the wavepacket partially passes through the barrier—something impossible in classical physics!
